The Road to Men's Summit

Identity – Who Does God Say I Am?

April 13, 2023

“No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”

Romans 8:37

Today, in preparation for Men’s Summit, we are going to pray about who God says you are.

Perhaps one of the most challenging, and yet essential, parts of our transformation in Christ is learning and growing into who we were created to be.

“Who am I?”

I know that I literally did not know the answer to this until I met Jesus. Since then, He makes it more and more clear to me every day, and today I receive these truths about who I am, just as you can begin receiving these truths for yourself. The Lord makes is very clear our identity is in Him:

“So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.”
Genesis 1:27
“So you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir through God.” Galatians 4:7
“...and if children, then heirs – heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with Him in order that we may also be glorified with Him.”
Romans 8:17
“No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”
Romans 8:37

You were created in His image. You are more than a conqueror - a son and heir in Jesus Christ. As you get ready for Men’s Summit, will you open your hearts to hear Him right now? Pray this over yourself: “Lord, I pray I would receive the truth about who You say I am, today. I pray that all other voices and suggestions as to who the world says I am are stifled and silenced by the power of Your words. I accept how You made me and I agree with the truth in Your Word. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
